Cornell Center for Materials Research (CCMR)

The CCMR currently supports three interdisciplinary research groups and a number of smaller ‘seed’ research groups through an NSF MRSEC grant and Cornell University support. Each group brings researchers from a variety of different departments together to work on an outstanding interdisciplinary problem in materials research and development.

    Cornell Nanoscale Facility (CNF)

CNF is a world-class facility for micro and nanofabrication. Operating as an open user facility, it assists users from across the country and around the world. Over 500 different individuals use CNF facilities every year. They include undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs and professionals, both those experienced in nanotechnology as well as novices.

  • Two people work outdoors on solar panels

    Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability

The Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability is the hub of collaborative sustainability research at Cornell University, forging vital connections among researchers, students, staff and external partners. The center’s funding and programming accelerate groundbreaking research within and across all of Cornell’s colleges and schools.

  • Biotechnology building

    Cornell Institute of Biotechnology (Biotech)

Each year, the Biotechnology Resource Center serves over 600 principal investigators (PIs) internal and external to Cornell. Cornell PIs that use BRC services belong to over 10 different colleges. External PIs are academics from other institutions, but also belong to corporations, government, and public agencies.
