  • American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)

    The American Society of Civil Engineers is a student group who invites members from among civil engineering majors to participate in community service events, engineering competitions, and other activities.

    The Cornell chapter of ASCE is home to two project teams that participate in annual competitions.

  • Civil and Environmental Engineering Graduate Student Association

    The Civil and Environmental Engineering Graduate Student Association strives to foster communication between graduate students and provide a forum for the free exchange of ideas. Group members organize social and cultural events for graduate students as well as promote professional activities.

  • Cornell-Cantabria Exchange Program

    The Cornell-Cantabria Exchange Program was developed by the Cornell Civil & Environmental Engineering with the goal of helping students spend their junior year in Santander, Spain at the Universidad de Cantabria.

  • Cornell University Chi Epsilon

    Chi Epsilon is the National Engineering Honor Society in the United States. They honor engineering students who have exemplified the principles of “scholarship, character, practicality, and sociability” in the civil engineering profession.

  • Cornell Seismic Design Team

    This student team designs, builds, and tests a scaled multi-story balsa wood tower for an international undergraduate competition hosted every spring at the annual meeting hosted by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute.

  • Engineers for a Sustainable World at Cornell: Biofuels

    This student project team strives to improve campus and local sustainability through biofuels initiatives and implementation.

  • Engineers without Borders

    Students who aim to create long-lasting solutions to problems in international communities. Members are given the opportunity to nurture their creative and technical expertise by designing and implementing sustainable engineering projects. Through collaboration with communities in developing countries around the world, our members are exposed to diverse cultures while gaining academic experience outside of the classroom environment.

  • New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA), Cornell Chapter

    The New York Water Environment Association is made up approximately 2,700 water quality professionals organized into seven geographic chapters. Each chapter has its own Board of Directors, and carry out their own technical and social programs throughout the year. By joining NYWEA you are able to select three chapters to be affiliated with.
