Minors

A minor is a secondary area of interest that often complements a major and allows grouping of related electives in a meaningful way. Students typically need four to six courses to fulfill the requirements for a minor.

We Offer Three Undergraduate Minors

    Atmospheric Science Minor

    Students in Atmospheric Science study the behavior of weather and climate while gaining experience in the analysis, interpretation and forecasting of meteorological events.

    Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Minor

    A minor in earth and atmospheric sciences is available to all undergraduates except those majoring in earth and atmospheric sciences.

    Climate Change Minor

    The climate change minor gives students the opportunity to explore climate change from varied disciplinary perspectives while gaining a firm grounding in the basic physical, ecological, and social science as well as its interactions with history, philosophy and the arts.
