Biography
Allison Hutchison is a teacher-scholar who studies multimodal communication in technical settings. She incorporates her background in writing center theory and pedagogy when formulating both curricula and research. In her most recent project, she investigates the authentic engineering communication integration model by training and embedding engineering communication consultants in a data science partner course. She is examining the effects of this model on engineering students through two survey instruments as well as a mixed-methods analysis of data science reports.
