Ezra Systems Visiting Scholars conduct research at Cornell while gaining access to the intellectual breadth and extensive resources available at this Ivy League institution.
The length of each residency is flexible, with scholars typically visiting Cornell for two weeks to a full academic year. This program is designed to start new collaborations that will persist after the scholar leaves. Through these collaborations, Ezra Systems Visiting Scholars and Cornell faculty and students push the boundaries of systems research by developing important breakthroughs to solve hard problems and defining new research directions.
Requirements and Qualifications
Ezra Systems Visiting Scholars must be established, mid-to-late-career researchers who are at the forefront of their domain, and who have an interest in collaborating with one or more Cornell faculty on systems-related research. Prospective Ezra Visiting Scholars must send a CV and a short research proposal describing the research to be conducted, as well as the expected collaborations at Cornell, to ezrascholars@cornell.edu. Applications are due twice a year in February and October, and are reviewed by systems faculty members, as well as faculty members in other relevant disciplines as required. Please follow the instructions on the Ezra Systems Scholars in Engineering Research page.
Support and Benefits
Ezra Systems Visiting Scholars are provided with local accommodation in Ithaca, travel, lodging and access to the intellectual breadth of Cornell’s entire faculty for the duration of their stay (two weeks to one year).
